Bio: Wendy Teakel was born in Wagga Wagga, Australia. She has practiced professionally since 1980 and holds a Diploma of Applied Art from Riverina College of Advanced Education, 1980, Wagga Wagga (now Charles Sturt University), a Graduate Diploma in Sculpture from Canberra School of Art, 1985, Canberra (now the Australian National University) and a Masters of Art by Research Project from RMIT University, 2004, Melbourne.
