Kaushik Bhaumik is Senior Vice-President at Osian’s – Connoisseurs of Art. He is a historian by training and the co-editor of Visual Sense: A Cultural Reader brought out by Berg Publishers
in 2008. His monograph on early Bombay cinema is due next year from Clarendon Press, Oxford. He has published extensively on Bombay and World Cinema and has recently started writing on modern Indian art.
